BHECN Lifelong Learning Fund

The BHECN Lifelong Learning Fund provides support for student and professional development opportunities, and for projects that promote behavioral health careers to Nebraska students.

First-time applicants, students and trainees, and applications that impact individuals serving rural and/or underserved communities will be prioritized for funding. Proposals for events/trainings that occur on or before the application close date will not be considered.

Student and professional development opportunities include support for conference attendance, support for training, workshop or certificates, test preparation materials (students), and other educational projects and events. 

Student development opportunities budget caps

  • Conference - $2,000 
  • Training, Workshop, and/or Certification - $1,500 
  • Test preparation materials - $250 
  • Educational project - $1,500 

Practicing professional development opportunities budget caps:

  • Conference Attendance - $2,000 
  • Training - $1,500 

Statewide Training Events: Individual licensed practitioners or behavioral health organizations are eligible to propose a continuing education training event focused on enhancing clinical delivery and/or increasing access to care. The proposed event must be open to statewide participation and can take place in person or virtually. The training must be rooted in a strong evidence base, and applicants must provide a compelling justification for how this training will advance the clinical skill set of attendees. - $5,000
