Correctional Sites Stipend Program: With clinical supervision, graduate-level student trainees in psychiatric nursing, social work, psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and physician assistant programs will be paid a stipend to provide direct care to inmates and individuals needing mental health care.

BHECN Lifelong Learning Fund: The BHECN Lifelong Learning Fund provides support for student development opportunities, professional development opportunities, and for activities that promote behavioral health careers to Nebraska students. Please note, there are budget caps for each funding category (see Lifelong Learning Fund page for details).

Core Topics - : Behavioral health providers and educators across the state, including behavioral health graduate programs and their faculty, are encouraged to submit a topic and detailed outline based on the annual Core Topic theme and/or their expert assessment of Nebraska behavioral health needs. 

Rural and Underserved Trainee Stipend Program: Graduate-level student trainees in an applied behavior analysis, marriage and family therapy, or social work program taking their advanced practicum courses and student trainees in clinical mental health counseling programs taking their clinical or advanced internship courses can apply to receive a stipend for their experiences

Student Advisory Board Nomination Form: The Student Advisory Board Nomination Form is intended for each NEBHEP partner, from BHECN's NEBHEP network, to nominate one student for the academic year to serve on BHECN's Student Advisory Board. The Student Advisory Board will meet during the academic year to provide student input on BHECN's activities, the student conference, and work collectively with BHECN to improve the overall student pipeline into behavioral healthcare careers in Nebraska."

Behavioral Health Opportunities Program (BHOP): An education and career pathways provide that will
assist undergraduate and graduate students to complete their degree in behavioral health and lead
them toward licensure and practice in the field with tuition support and mentorship along the way.

BHECN Mentoring Program: A BHECN sponsored program that pairs behavioral health, licensed professionals in
Nebraska with current post-secondary students working toward a degree in behavioral health. The
mentorship pairing commitment is for one academic year.

BHECN GME/Psychiatry Residency Invoices and Training Site Statement Submission: Provides a place for organizations to upload monthly residency invoices, quarterly financial statements and/or student evaluation statements.

As of June 2023, we are no longer accepting applications for the BHECN ARPA Awards program. Please visit the BHECN website for information on the awardees.
