Correctional Sites Stipend Program

BHECN works with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and Lincoln Regional Center to off graduate-level student trainees in psychiatric nursing, social work, psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and physician assistant programs paid stipends to provide direct care to inmates and individuals needing mental health care.

Through this program, student trainees will have the option to be placed at the Lincoln Regional Center and select facilities associated with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.
